Selection Criteria

The American Institute of Black Attorneys selects attorneys and firms as Our Choice for 10 Best Black Attorneys for Client Satisfaction through an independent, discretionary process.

Eligibility

The attorney or firm practices law in the United States.
The attorney is a Black attorney or the firm is led by Black attorneys.

What We Consider

Our independent research and publicly available information.
Nominations from attorneys and the public.
Indicators of dedication to clients and client satisfaction.

Selection

Within each state (or region in larger states), up to ten attorneys or firms may be selected as Our Choice for 10 Best.

What the Criteria Do NOT Include

Payment of any kind. No fee is paid to be selected. Fees apply only to optional membership and recognition materials.
Case results or verification of licensing or disciplinary history.

Selection is not an endorsement and does not guarantee any outcome. We may decline or remove a selection at our discretion. Concerns may be sent to contact@aioba.org.
